July 11, 1967 — August 19, 2024

Altus

Debra Marie Houtchens, lovingly known as Debbie, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2024, at her home in Altus, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, August 26th at the funeral home. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27th in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Debra Marie was born on July 11, 1967, in Stockton, California to Don Lee and Charlene Faye (McNutt) Houtchens. She spent her formative years in California and graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1985, later attending Delta College. She moved to Altus for a brief time in 2005 but returned to her roots in the sunshine state. Debbie moved back to Oklahoma in 2016, first to Blair, then to Altus where she resided until her untimely passing. She enjoyed taking the dogs to the park, going to church, and talking and spending time with family. She was a lover of classic rock and praise and worship. Debbie was the life of any conversation and get together. Her laughter was infectious when she watched her fur babies playing and when she goofed around with family. Debbie was described as kind, loving, optimistic, and determined. Those attributes were evident in her personal goals of obtaining a motorcycle license, personal trainer certification, and her accomplished steps in Celebrate Recovery and the recovery principals. Debbie’s most prized honor was being a mother and grandmother. Her adventurous love will be missed by all that knew her.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene; and sister, Donna. Those left to honor Debbie's memory are her children, Jennifer Hartman and husband, Corbin, Jeffery Morris, and Myles Connor; grandchildren, Charlie, Scottie, and Pennie; father, Don; brother, Jeffery Houtchens and wife, Carrie; brother-in-law, Dennis; two nieces and two nephews; dogs, Mylo and Harley; cats, Momma Cat and Papa Cat; and many other family and friends.
