Dolores Torres Estraca

Dolores “Lola” Torres Estraca, 96, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the English Village Manor. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ronald Boelte officiating. Burial will follow in the Granite Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Dolores was born on April 11, 1918 to Pantalion and Catarina (Mejias) Torres in Goliad, Texas. She attended school in Texas. Dolores and Jose M. Estraca were united in marriage on July 30, 1933 in Texas, and to this union nine children were born. She worked in food service most of her life, including Furr’s Cafeteria in Altus for several years. Dolores was of the Catholic faith and attended the senior citizens center in Granite, OK. Dolores loved being with family, cooking, sewing, listening to music, dancing to music and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed growing flowers, especially roses and irises. Dolores is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Evangelina Paniaguia; son-in-law, Jose Carrillo; five brothers, Esteban Torres and wife, Lisa; Jesus Torres and wife, Magdelina; Butcho, Severo and Juan Torres; three sisters, Juana Garcia and husband, Lelo; Reyes Rodriguez; Gila Escobar and husband, Marcos. She is survived by her partner, Pablo Corpus; five daughters, Maria Antonia Ontiveros and husband, Emilio, of McPherson, KS; Maria Magdelina Carrillo of Denver, CO; Gloria Boelte and husband, Pastor Ronald Boelte, of Hobart, OK; Estella Stone and husband, David, of Lone Wolf, OK; Janie Pierce and husband, Paul, of Mangum, OK; three sons, Joe and Domingo Estraca, both of Granite, OK; Sabino Estraca and wife, Rosie, of Granite, OK; a son-in-law, Lino Paniagua fo Altus, OK; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family. The Estraca family will greet friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Kincannon Funeral Home.
