Don Marshall, 79, Altus, passed away on October 31, 2011 at the English Village Manor. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Altus City Cemetery with Bill Osborne officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Don Frank Marshall was born on December 11, 1931in Duke, Oklahoma to Frank and Eula Marshall. After high school, he received his Masters Degree in History. He married Vernie Nickell on September 7, 1956 in Granite, Oklahoma. Don was a teacher and the assistant principal at South East Jr. High for 35 years. Don also served in the Army National Guard for several years. He took great pride in giving scholarships to Western Oklahoma State College and the Southwest Area Vo-Tech’s Nursing Programs. He was also a Mason for several years. Don is preceded in death by his wife, a brother, James Marshall, and a sister, Hazel Darby. He is survived by two sons, Rex Marshall of Altus, OK, and Frank Marshall and wife, Colleen, of Altus, OK; a grandson, Michael Moriarity and wife, Jamie, of Oklahoma City, OK; a great granddaughter, Allison; a special friend, Sera Bella; and a host of other family and friends. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Kincannon Funeral Home.
