Donald "Don" Dent

Donald Gene “Don” Dent, 84, of Oxnard, California, formerly of Olustee, OK, died suddenly of a heart attack on December 20, 2012. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home He was born on May 9, 1928 in Olustee, OK to Ira and Nataleene Dent. He graduated from Olustee High School in 1946. He served in Army Air Force Communications System and was stationed in Alaska from 1946 until 1948. He married Jean Lorriane Dyer October 1950. He retired from the Oxnard Southern Pacific Railroad in 1983. He was currently working part-time for Pacific Vehicle Company in Port Hueneme in California. He is survived by his wife, Jean, and their six children, Steve Dent, Kathy Stoltz and husband, Paul, Jim Dent and his wife, Mary, John Dent and his wife, Susie, Dan Dent and his wife, Bonnie, and Bill Dent. He had eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and one great-grandson. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
