Donna "Fran" Powell

Donna Francis “Fran” Powell, 52, Blair, Oklahoma, passed away, Thursday, May 29, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Blair First Baptist Church with Rev. Cody Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction ofKincannon Funeral Home. Fran Powell was born July 15, 1961 to James Albert and Patricia Ann (Bacon) Powell, in Salem, Oregon. She attended school in Mangum, Oklahoma. During her school years, she met the love of her life and soul mate, Brett Powell. They were married March 5, 1982, and had over 32 wonderful years together; in which time, they had two beautiful daughters, Stana Kaye and Kira Jill, lovingly known as Katie Kate and Jillsy to their mom. As a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, or friend; she was devoted, inspiring, encouraging, loving, and a witness to all for her Lord and Savior. Fran was a nail technician for over twenty years; beginning at Hair Palace, which later became Ahead of Times; Better Bodies; and most recently “Nails by Fran” at Hello Gorgeous. If you were a client, you were so much more, and she was never just your nail tech. Before finding her chosen career, you may remember her from the 80's as the happy-go-lucky, smiling face that waited on you at the E-Z Stop or delivered your Daily Oklahoman. Fran was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Blair. She was a Christian and loved sharing her faith with others and on mission trips. Fran enjoyed working with the church youth groups and helping in the church where she was needed. She also enjoyed growing flowers, exercising, and listening to music. Fran especially loved time with her family and loved ones - laughing, date nights with her best friend, birthdays, being “Nanny” to her grandchildren, and showing them all the love of Christ. Fran is preceded in death by her father, James; father-in-law, David Powell; niece, Holly Jean Powell; brother-in-law, Keith Powell; and special friend, Cindy Rose. Fran is survived by her husband , Brett, of Blair, OK; mother, Pat Noblitt, of Mangum, OK; mother-in-law, LaVerne Powell, of Blair, OK; step-mother, Sue Williams of Arizona; two daughters, Stana of Mangum, OK and her fiancé, Jason Hughes; Jill of Blair, OK; three grandchildren, Jaci Lynn Cargal, Joeli Ann Cargal and Mayson Love Crow; brother, Dale Powell and wife Marsha of Austin, TX; three sisters, Jerri Boman and husband Steve of Sentinel, OK; Toni of Arizona; Terri Jewell of Arizona; a special Aunt, Willie Wayman of California; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many, many friends. The Powell family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday evening at Kincannon Funeral Home.
