Donna Michelle Gower, 55, former Altus resident, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services will be 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the Centennial Memorial at Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Tim Franks officiating. Inurnment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Donna Michelle Zawicki was born on January 20, 1968 in Dover, Delaware to Michael and Evelyn Laverne (Auld) Zawicki. The family moved to Altus and she graduated from Altus High School in 1986. Donna went on and graduated from Cameron University in Lawton with a double major in Band and Vocal Music. She worked for many years in Altus for Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby. Donna married Luther Gene “Ace” Gower on April 13, 2016 in Altus, Oklahoma. She enjoyed singing, and arts and crafts. Donna was the type of person who had a smile for everybody and never met a stranger.
Her mother, Evelyn, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Luther Gene “Ace” Gower; her father, Michael Zawicki; a brother, Michael Zawicki, Jr. and wife, Sherry; a niece, Brittany Madole and husband, Hunter; nephew, Dylan Zawicki; and great niece and nephew, Gentry and Wyatt Madole.
