Donnie Ray Bacher

Donnie Ray Bacher, 65, Altus, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. Celebration of Life services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at Kincannon Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at the Wasunga Cemetery in Newkirk, Oklahoma at a later date. Life Celebration services and cremation services are entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home of Altus. Donnie Ray Bacher was born April 6, 1948 in Topeka, Kansas to Lester L. and Margaret M. (Ungerman) Bacher. He graduated from Choctaw High School, Choctaw, Oklahoma, in 1966. Donnie enlisted in the U. S. Coast Guard in November of 1966 and was honorably discharged in December of 1969. He then transferred to U.S. Air Force Reserves and was honorably discharged in September of 1979. Donnie was an automotive mechanic most of his adult life. He was of the Christian faith. Donnie enjoyed playing Santa Claus for children during Christmas. He also enjoyed playing video games, riding motorcycles and collecting guns. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Margaret Bacher; grandparents, Lawrence and Opal Bacher; John and Nellie Ungerman; brother, Larry Lester Bacher; infant brother, Randy John Bacher; infant sisters, Sharon Lee and Caroline Winona Bacher and infant granddaughter, Aaron Renea Bacher and beloved pets, Rascal and Taffy. He is survived by his precious companion, Jean Holmberg; a sister, Odessa C. Bacher and partner, Joni Darnell; daughters, Ellisha Mae Robinson, Kathy Phillips, Erica Dawn Martin, Mindy Tucker and husband Gordon, Tracy Holmberg and Anita Jencks; sons, Randall Jencks, Jr. and Stuart Holmberg; grandchildren, Kyle Eagle Phillips, Ethan Ray Robinson, Caleb Edward Robinson, Christoph Tucker, Randall Jencks, III, Sarah Robinson, Brittni Allen Phillips, Shiron Musick, Raelinn Martin, Annalice Tucker, Tessa Jencks, Celeste Jencks, and Trinity Holmberg; great- grandchildren to include, Kenzie “Tootie Bug” Tucker; niece, Victoria Bacher; nephews, Nicholi Bacher and Jennings Darnell; beloved pets, Troubles, Missy, Prissy Pooh and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life.
