Dora Howell, 70, Altus, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2022 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Malcolm Dash officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Dora Revilla was born on December 20, 1951 in Hamlin, Texas to Victor and Hortencia (Gonzalez) Revilla. She grew up in the Altus area and in 1970, she married Billy Howell in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked as a certified nurse aide and later worked at the Cotton Classing office. Before retiring, Dora worked in packaging at OK-1 Manufacturing Co. Dora enjoyed going to the casino and being outdoors, whether with her plants or travelling. She loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sara Alcorta; and a brother, Johnny Revilla.
Dora is survived by her husband, Billy Howell; four children, Bobby Mendiola, Shelly Arce and husband, Jose, James Howell and wife, Chasity, and Clarissa Dash and husband, Malcolm; a brother, Victor Revilla, Jr.; three sisters, Amelia Delarosa, Mary Coffman and husband, Deon, and Lupe Plata and husband, Roy; thirteen grandchildren, Bobby Mendiola, Jr., Seth Meads, Dillon Meads, Courtney Atkinson and husband, Scott, Julia Martinez, Juanita Martinez, Erika Martinez and partner, Joseph Ponder, James Howell and wife, Shayla, Tyler Howell and wife, Sarah, Daniel Howell, Christopher Symons and wife, Haley, Leanna Symons, and Trevor Symons; fourteen great-grandchildren, Haley, Emerson, Daylen, Serenity, Joereyah, Aaliyah, Joseph, Vivian, Aiden, Kinzley, Oliver, Maddy, Shantell, and Deondre; one great-great-grandchild, Miyah; and many other family members and friends.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the funeral home.
