Doris grew up in a loving home with her mother, Virgie Marie, and stepfather, William “Bill” Tuttle. Her happiest memories were growing up with her brothers and sisters in the beautiful mountains of Kentucky. She especially loved playing with her sister and best friend, Glenda, in their “House in the Hills.” Doris’ family moved to Ohio where she graduated from Jerusalem High School in Toledo at the age of 16. Her family then settled in Springfield, Ohio, which she always considered her home. Doris worked in retail and was her parent’s primary caretaker. In the late 80‘s she moved to Altus, Oklahoma to be with her sister, Glenda. For many years she worked as a baker, working the last 20 plus years for Walmart and retiring in 2017. Doris enjoyed reading, cooking, and bird watching. She also enjoyed watching mysteries and the Victory Channel. Her family was the love of her life.
