Doris V. Tygerson

Doris V. Tygerson, 95, Altus, passed away on Thursday, March 07, 2013 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Michael Fairchild officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Doris V. Reddick was born on August 3, 1917 in Arnett, Oklahoma to George and Marie (Crossman) Reddick. She married Richard A. Tygerson on October 7, 1955 at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, California. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone as an operator in Sacramento before retiring. Mrs. Tygerson was a Lutheran and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very active lady who loved ceramics, crafts and playing bridge. Her great granddaughter, Dawnie Lee Sikes, two brothers, Mike and Pat Reddick, and a sister, Billye Schmidt, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Richard, of the home; a daughter, Joanne Easterling of Olustee, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Carol Hultz and husband, Victor, of Missouri, Jimmy Geigle of Altus, Oklahoma, and Dennis Easterling and wife, Mary; five great grandchildren, Jessica, Rhonda, James Wesley, Jake and Lane; three great great grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob and Layne; and a sister, Joyce Chamberlain of Godfrey, Illinois.
