Doris Willene Fueglein

Doris Willene Fueglein, 91, Altus, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Pampa, Texas. Funeral services have been scheduled for10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Clint Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Doris Willene Wade was born to Walter and Mary (Webb) Wade on June 27, 1923 in Hess, Oklahoma. She was raised by her grandparents, R.C. and Maggie Wade. She graduated from Altus High School with the class of 1941. Doris and Harry Fueglein were united in marriage on April 22, 1943 in Altus, Oklahoma. Doris was the cafeteria manager at the Sunset Elementary School from 1971 to 1990. She was a founding member of the Park Lane and Thomas Street Churches of Christ and later a member of the Tamarack Road Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, canning, traveling and reading. She loved spending time with family and friends. Doris is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry, on October 29, 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Nichols and husband, Gary, of Wichita Falls, TX; a son, Steve Fueglein and wife, Shirley, of Pampa, TX; three grandchildren, Brent Nichols and Kevin Nichols and wife, Seana, all of Wichita Falls, TX and Kaysi Preston and husband, Tommy, of Pampa, TX; four great-grandsons which she called "The Greats", Alec Nichols, Kade Preston, Kooper Preston and Ryan Nichols. She also leaves behind a cousin, Ruth Ann Selby and her husband, Don, of Plano, TX; their children, Gretchen Newberry and husband, Glen, Kent Selby and wife, Heather and Heather Edwards and her husband, John, and their families. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
