Dorothy L. Brown

Dorothy L. Brown, 65, Altus, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Houston, Texas. The family will receive friends at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2012 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Bostic officiating. Cremation services, following the Celebration of Life, are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Dorothy was born on March 13, 1947 in Irene, Texas to Ray and Dorothy Z. (King) Robinson. Dorothy grew up in Irene, Texas and moved to Washington. She worked as a homemaker and was the Owner/Operator of the Sage Janitorial Service in Washington for 14 years. She moved to Altus in 2008 and was a member of the St. Johns Baptist Church. She was an avid shopper and loved going to yard sales. She will be missed by all. Her father, a daughter, Karen Garrett, and a brother, Charlie Robinson, preceded her in death. Survivors include four children, Felicia Richardson and husband, Osborn, of Altus, OK; John L. Brown of Tacoma, WA; Raven Brown of Louisiana; Heather Tardif and husband, Paul, of Kentucky; ten grandchildren; a great grandson; her mother, Dorothy Z. Robinson of Washington; a son-in-law, Curtis Garrett, of Georgia; two sisters, Jennette McFadden and husband, Stephen, of Virginia; Connie Barber of Washington; a brother, Gary Robinson, of Washington; and several other family and friends. Additional parking for services Saturday is available in Kincannon’s back lot, Best Western to the South and Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
