Dorothy Marie Lance

Dorothy Lance, 88, Altus, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 at the English Village Manor. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Edward Roling officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Dorothy Marie Frietag was born on December 2, 1926 to John Henry and Theresa (Allen) Frietag in Fort Madison, Iowa. She attended school at the Sacred Heart School in Fort Madison, Iowa. Dorothy and Raymond Lance were united in marriage on November 13, 1948 in Fort Madison, Iowa. They moved to Altus in 1965. Raymond preceded her in death on August 2, 1973. She was a homemaker her entire life. She was a member of the Sunshine Club, Home Extension Club and the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, going to the county fair and garage sales. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Nondorf and husband, Jim; two sons, Steve Lance and wife, Judy, and Douglas Lance and wife, Fei-Yu Cheng; ten grandchildren, Melinda Stencil, Sarah Tyler, Rachel Nondorf, David Nondorf, Steven Lance and wife, Abbie, Katrina Bradfield and fiance', Walter Perry, Allyson Lance, Bethany Lance, Christopher Lance and Jeema Lance; and ten great-grandchildren, Amber, Danielle, Ella, Kaleigh, Peyton, Conner, Beckett, Allison, Tyler, and Mia; two sisters, Viola Odiorne and Marcelle Moeller; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends in the community.
