Dorothy Mae Willcut, 87, former Altus resident, entered into Heaven on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Altus City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Dorothy was born on December 13, 1925 in Olustee, Oklahoma. She married Rev. Gene Willcut on October 28, 1944 in Olustee, OK. To this union, two children were born, Kathy and Carl. In 1957, Gene and Dorothy entered Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. After graduation in 1960, they pastored the Bible Baptist Church in Bonner Springs, KS for 2 ½ years. Gene, Dorothy, Kathy and Carl then moved to Mexico City for language school. They then moved to Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and for the next 31 years they established many churches and missions in Linares and the Sierra Madre mountain villages. Due to health concerns, Gene and Dorothy returned from the mission field to reside in Altus, OK from the mid 1990’s to August of 2007. They relocated to Ottumwa, Iowa to be cared for by their daughter. Dorothy was a faithful child of God, a loving daughter, a caring sister, an adored wife and a devoted mother. She was also an admired and greatly loved grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed. We know her suffering is over and she is with her Savior and loved ones in heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; her parents; a sister, Bobbi; a brother, Ted; her son, Carl; cousins, Bud and Lou; and granddaughter, Heather. She is survived by her daughters, Terry Clark and husband, Don, of Bonner Springs, KS and Kathy Hucks and husband, Mick, Sr., of Ottumwa, IA; ten grandchildren, Bobbi Clark of Kansas with her children, Jeremy, Amanda and Mariah, and a great-great-grandchild, Eligah, Christi Clark of Kansas with her sons, Dalton and Dakota, Don Clark, Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Kansas with their sons, Logan, Corbin and Mason, Heath Clark of Kansas, Nancy Morrow and husband, Brian, of Ottumwa, IA, Mick Hucks, Jr. and wife, Cyndi, of Ottumwa, IA with their children, Maddy, Marshall and Jackson, Kenny Hucks of Knoxville, IA with daughter, Kilye, Sarah Hucks Gade and husband, Jason, of Chicago, IL, Amber Thaggard and husband, Mike, of Oklahoma with her children, Parker, Hayden and Ethan, and Bernie Willcut and wife, Mylinda, of Oklahoma.
