Earl Edward Carson

Earl Edward Carson, 83, Lawton, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Private family graveside services will be held at the Highland Cemetery in Lawton. Arrangements are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Earl Edward Carson was born on May 8, 1937 in Altus, Oklahoma to L.P. and Ruth (Childress) Carson. He graduated from Altus High School with the class of 1955 and served his country in the United States Army. He married Linda Louise Hatley in Vernon, Texas in 1976. She preceded him in death on September 18, 2013. Earl worked for Whinery Huddleston Funeral Service in Lawton for ten years following his military career. He then married Judy Daugherty. Earl was a member of the Church of God in Christ in Altus and enjoyed visiting with people, working and R&B music.

His grandparents, Harry Henry Weaver and Sophie Shoals; his parents, L. P. and Ruth Carson; his first wife, Linda; his son, Gentry Carson, and his sister, Ola Mae Huff-Paxton preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; three daughters, Cathy Wilson-Kennedy, Etorshi Bowens and Shebriel Garland; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
