Earl Dean Jobe, 84, Blair, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wes Robertson officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Earl Dean was born on July 20, 1933 at home in Magazine, Arkansas to Earl Augustus and Lillie Rosie (Reynolds) Jobe. He married Mary Lerlene Minchew on January 14, 1951 in Dermott, Arkansas. Earl served for several years in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on May 3, 1955. He and Lerlene lived in Blair for over 60 years. Earl worked as a farmer for many years and owned a shed and trailer business, before retiring. He had a passion for racing cars in his spare time and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Earl was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blair. Earl had the gift of gab and never met a stranger. Any day of the week, you could see him around town sharing stories.
His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Lerlene, of the home; four daughters, Peggy Ann Thomas and husband, Fred, Ella Sue Kendrick and husband, Bob, Debra Lynn Miller and husband, Mike, and Vicki Diane Crofford and husband, Dan; 13 grandchildren, Kathy, Greg, Julie, April, Megan, Cherri, JoAnna, Teresa, Casey, Wayne, Lisa, Greg and Brandy; 27 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Mae Fletcher and Norma Jean Reed.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
