Eclicerio Jaimes Martinez, 82, Altus, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Sundar officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Eclicerio was born September 16, 1929 to Asenoienes Jaimes and Faconda Martinez Rodriguez in Mexico. He worked as a farm laborer working for several farmers in their fields. He loved his garden and spent many hours tending it. He liked cats, working on his trucks, cooking special meals and listening to music. Christmas time was special to him and he looked forward to setting out his lights. He made friends easily. Most of all, he loved his family, his granddaughters were his “Princesses” and his grandson was his “King.” He will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Alfonso, and his brother, Paulino. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Yzaguirre, of the home; one daughter, Guillermina Vargas and her husband, Heriberto, of Houston, TX; and a great niece, who was like a daughter to him, Carmen “Mona” Azlin and her husband, Charles Wilson Azlin, of Altus, OK; three sisters, Silvana Jaimes, Augustina Jaimes Martinez and Petra Martinez Rodriguez, all of Mexico; one brother, Rene Martinez of Altus, OK; four grandchildren, Irene Torres and husband, Adrian, Elizabeth Vargas and husband, Troy Howsley, Fani Medina and husband, Victor, and Heriberto Vargas, Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Clarrisa Medina, Camila Howsley, Olivia Ann Wiggins, Angelica Wiggins, and Alex Wiggins; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.
