Edward Joseph Trujillo, Sr.

Edward Joseph Trujillo, Sr., 53, Altus, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Alex Casias officiating. Services and cremation are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Edward J. Trujillo, Sr. was born on September 24, 1963 in Mountain Home, Idaho to Rudy and Bernice (Martinez) Trujillo. Edward married Sylvia Luna in Hollis, Oklahoma on May 16, 1987. He was a decorated Air Force veteran of Desert Storm, flying 36 combat support sorties in the KC-135R air refueling tanker. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1985 and was one of six valedictorians of Harrison High School, Colorado Springs class of 1981. He was also an active member of Primera Iglesia Bautista of Altus Oklahoma serving as Treasurer and Sunday school teacher for 21 years. Became deacon in 2016. He worked at Altus Air Force Base as a government contractor, teaching academics and full motion simulators for the KC-135R school house for 20 years. He was also an avid Hot Wheel collector and a genealogist. Edward was a connoissuer of bacon and pizza.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rodolpho “Rudy” Trujillo, father in-law, Inez Luna, brothers in-law, Jesse Luna and Merced Saavedra, sister in-law, Aurora Morales, and a niece Liza Torrez.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia, of the home; his mother, Bernice Trujillo; son, Eddie Trujillo and wife, Lyndsey; a daughter, Nicole Tupper; and son James Trujillo and wife, Ashley; a brother, Rick Trujillo and wife, Yvette; three sisters, Joyce Valdez and husband, Stan, Gina Capello and husband, Chris, and Tina Schuman and husband, Dave; and four grandchildren, Evelyn and Sophia Trujillo, and Emma and Sammi Tupper.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Days Inn to the South and Western Sizzlin' to the North.
