Elaine Hall, 81, Blair, passed away Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday December 19, 2012 in the Kincannon Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at the Warren Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Elaine Pickering was born April 20, 1931 in Carney, Nebraska to Jess and Hazel (Kneer) Pickering. She spent her childhood years in El Monte, California. She married Floyd “Little” Hall on September 22, 1959. The Hall’s moved to Oklahoma in 1967, working and raising their family. Elaine worked at H & H Motors in Altus, as well as the Jackson County Courthouse. She owned “The Remnant Place” in Blair and worked at the Blair School. She was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed calling in birthdays to Eddie and Joan at KWHW, and really loved her volunteer work at the Blair School. She counted her school volunteer work as the “most rewarding.” She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd “Little” Hall, in May of 2003, and a brother, LeRoy Pickering. Elaine is survived by three daughters, Linda Smith of Warren, OK, Billie Mavers of Blair, OK, and Mable Logsdon and husband, Larry, of Blair, OK; one son, Steve Dungan of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren, David Hollowell of Tulsa, OK, Paul Garrison of Oklahoma City, OK, Dawn Smith of Altus, OK, Tina Jakubowski of Rio Rancho, NM, Nicole Copeland and husband, Kyle, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Ashley Peterson of Blair, OK; ten great grandchildren, D.J., Steven, and Johnathon Hollowell, Briana Smith, Alex, Riley, and Delilah Jakubowski, Paul Garrison, Jr., Gabriel Garrison, and Grant Peterson; a brother, Harold Pickering of Red Bluff, CA, a sister, Joyce Lantz of Ontario, California; and many friends. The Hall Family will greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Kincannon Funeral Home. Additional parking for Wednesday’s service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South and Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
