Ella Mae Woodall, 96, Eldorado, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, July 20, 2015 in the Eldorado Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Ella Mae Palmer was born on May 10, 1919 in Quail, Texas to Thomas J. and Grace (Brown) Palmer. She attended school in Texas and Ozark, Oklahoma. Ella married Cecil Woodall in Altus, Oklahoma in 1936. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage until his passing in 1997. She worked for Sooner Boat Company in Eldorado for five years, the sewing factory in Quanah, Texas for a year and was head cook for the Senior Citizens Center in Eldorado for two years. Ella was the typical pioneer woman who loved to cook, can and make pecan pies. She enjoyed making quilts, embroidery, working in her yard, gardening, flowers and helping her husband farm. She was also a long time member of the Eldorado Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Ophelia Leonard. Survivors include her brother, Thomas Palmer and wife, Dorothy, of Edmond, OK; a number of nieces, nephews and good friends, Mary Thomason and Barbara Boaldin.
