Esmeralda Lopez, 60, Olustee, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Reyes officiating. Burial will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Esmeralda Lopez was born on November 12, 1956 in Abernathy, Texas to Ascencion Luis and Cecilia (Ybarra) Lopez. She grew up in Olustee and graduated from Olustee High School in 1975. She worked as a waitress for many years and enjoyed gardening and being around family.
Her parents and a sister, Celia Almarez, preceded her in death.
Survivors include four children, Abraham Borrego and wife, Mary Jane, Adrian Borrego, Benjamin Montoya and Veronica Almanza; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Jordyn, Reuben, Javen, Alex, Jaslyn, Connie and Rylen; four siblings, Mary Gonzalez, Elias Lopez and wife, Linda, Eva Bailey and husband, Allen, and Esperanza Lopez and husband, Eddie Ramirez; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
The Lopez family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Days Inn to the South and Western Sizzlin' to the North.
