Espiridion "Speedy" Luna

Espiridion "Speedy" Luna, 81, Altus, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Rosary services will be 7:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Kincannon Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Sundar officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Espiridion Luna was born December 14, 1932 to Gabriel and Aracadia (Pichardo) Luna in Charlotte, Texas. He married Maria Alcorta on February 3, 1955 in Plainview, Texas. “Speedy” as he was lovingly called, worked hard as a farm laborer and helped farm most of his life. He just recently got involved in landscaping. He loved to walk and to spend time playing pool. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Aracadia Luna. He leaves behind his wife, Maria Alcorta Luna of 58 years; his children, Juan Luna and wife, Rosa of Tipton, OK, Anita Sanchez and late husband, Jose, of Altus, OK, Amelia Sanchez and husband, Steven, of Lawton, OK, Josefina Luna of Sherman, TX, Jose Luna and wife, Norma, of Altus, OK, Jesus Luna, Ramon Luna and Jennifer Lujan, all of Altus, OK, and Maria Molina and husband, Anthony, of Altus, OK; eighteen grandchildren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters; Lucia Casias of Altus, OK and Reymunda Leyton of Altus, and many other family members and friends.
