Esteban Valdez Torrez, 76, Martha, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Martha Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Esteban Valdez Torrez was born on August 13, 1944 in Sandia, Texas to Estevan Torrez and Elisa Valdez. Esteban married Angie Estraca on November 29, 1962 in Rockport, Texas. He farmed for several years in the Jackson County area for the Brown family. He enjoyed building and fixing race cars and in his younger years, driving them. In his spare time he enjoyed working on his old Ford pickup and tending to the flowers in his garden. Esteban loved his family and being at his grandkids’ ball games.
His parents, two brothers, Joe and Pantalion Torrez, and a sister, Tomesia Alvarado, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Angie, of the home; a brother, Dubie Torrez; his children, Rosie Peter and husband, Chan, Isaac Torrez and wife, Staci, Alyssa Weber and husband, Garrett, and Stephen Torrez and wife, Elena; eight grandchildren, Carter Torrez, Logan Torrez, Fiona Torrez, Jaxson Torrez, Eben Torrez, Phoenix Torrez, Lauren Peter and Courtney Peter; five great grandchildren, Madi Weber, Remi Weber, Reagan Weber, Kenny Weber and Levi Torrez; and Melissa, the mother of Alyssa, Stephen, Carter and Jaxson.
