Esther Gonzalez de Tapia

Esther Gonzalez de Tapia, 79, Altus, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the English Village Manor. A rosary will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel and again at 5:00 PM on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Joseph David officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Esther was born on March 23, 1942 in Michoacan, Mexico to Jose Gonzalez Toledo and Prisca Guzman. She married Froilan Tapia in Chucandiro, Michoacan, Mexico on November 4, 1961. The two spent almost 61 years together. Esther was primarily a homemaker but loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was loving and sweet and provided for her family. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and loved to crochet.

Survivors include her husband, Froilan Tapia; four daughters, Antonia Tapia, Ana Maria Tapia, Maribel Tapia, and Nancy Tapia; six sons, Jorge Tapia, Guadalupe Tapia, Angel Tapia, Jesus Tapia, Jaime Tapia, and Javier Tapia; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Consuelo Gonzalez, Belen Gonzalez, Reyna Gonzalez, and Felimon Gonzalez; and numerous other family members and friends.
