Eulalio Linares

February 12, 1921 — January 3, 2022

Eulalio G. “Lalo” Linares, 100, Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at his home with family by his side. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Deacon Eulis Mobley officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Eulalio G. Linares was born on February 12, 1921 in Lone Wolf to J. Manuel and Margarita (Gonzalez) Linares. He attended school in Lone Wolf before moving to Mexico with his family. In his younger years, Lalo really enjoyed playing baseball with his friends. He worked in Mexico as a truck driver before he met and married Virginia (Amaya) on September 20, 1940 in Torreon, Mexico. The two were married for 72 years. The Linares family moved to Elmer in 1952 and later moved to Altus in 1981 where he retired. He worked for several area farmers, helping with all operations of wheat and cotton production. He also worked with rental property & lawn care. Mr. and Mrs. Linares were very active in the Prince of Peace Catholic Church serving 28 wonderful years together. In his past -time he loved to play dominoes with family and was very good at it. He loved helping others and is loved by many.

Lalo was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia; brothers, Antonio Linares, Alfonso Linares, Victor Linares; sisters, Angelina Meraz, Anita Gonzalez, Socorro Mora, Petra Linares and Thomasa Linares; and grandson, Kerry Linares. He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Flynn and husband, Clifford; four sons, Henry Linares and wife, Nelda, Eddie Linares and wife, Neoma, John Anthony Linares and wife, Olga, and Tom Linares and wife, Jackie; three sisters, Aurora Davila, Esperanza “Hope” Trujillo, and Victoria Aguilar; grandchildren, Larry Linares and wife, Laura, Stacie Wasem and husband, Jeremy, Suzi Frost and husband, Danny, Darin Linares and wife, Sally, Maria Gonzalez “Shine” and husband, Richard, and Ashley Mavrogeorge and husband, Jason; great grandchildren, Lindsay Mena and husband, Matt, Andrea Linares, Brandon Linares, Nicole Linares, Jagr Wasem, Ridgly Wasem, Meadow Frost, Amaya Frost, Vivian Frost, Lorelai Linares, Cruz Linares, Sicily Gonzalez, Malea Parsons and husband, Ethan, Keegan Gonzalez MaKenzie Mavrogeorge, Maddalena Mavrogeorge, and Maia Mavrogeorge; great-great grandchildren, Kayden Mena and Kamdyn Mena; and a host of other family & close friends.
