Fernanda Trevino

Fernanda Trevino, 93, Altus, died Thursday, April 26, 2010 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Sundar officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. A Rosary service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Kincannon Funeral Home. Fernanda Trevino was born January 19, 1919 in Belton, Texas to Pablo and Eulogia (Gomez) Torrez. She married Inez Trevino in 1934 in Belton, Texas. She was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children, sewing and bird watching. Fernanda loved gardening and was crazy about flowers. She was of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a great grandson, Justin Plew. She is survived by three daughters, Ofelia Gonzales and husband, Manuel, of Austin, TX, Florence Landa of Wisconsin, and Sophia Poppenhouse of Denison, TX; six sons, Jose Trevino of Quinlan, TX, Juan Trevino of Louisville, KY, Alcario Trevino and wife, Francis, Domingo Trevino and wife, Alice, San Trevino, and Gene Trevino and wife, Liz, all of Altus, OK; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; many brothers and sisters, and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
