Flora Mae (Stevenson) West, 71, Altus, passed away peacefully at home, on May 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Her Homegoing Celebration will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Bishop Victor West officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Flora Mae Stevenson was born on February 16, 1947 in Milo, Oklahoma to Willie Stevenson and Odessa Brown- Stevenson. She married Raymond Nathaniel West in 1973 in Vernon, TX. She was a loving daughter, wife, and dedicated mother. She attended Booker T. Washington and Western Oklahoma State College. Flora worked at English Village Nursing Home as a CMA/CNA for more than 15 years and for Lowell-Tims Funeral Home as a Fleet/Maintenance Manager for more than 20 years, from which she retired. Flora and her husband, Raymond also owned and operated their own business for almost 20 years, a Grave Site Concierge Service, which was still in operation at the time of her death. Flora enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, crossword puzzles, playing dominoes, gardening, reading, and shopping. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of The Chickasaw Nation.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, Willie Stevenson and Odessa Crawford, her husband, Raymond N. West, and sister, Annetta Stevenson-Jones, and one son, Demetrice (West) Cotton.
Survivors include six children, Michelle Y. West-Graham, Lenora L. West, Lora A. West-Hurd, Bobby D. West and wife Dorthery, Dennis R. West, Tyree H. (West) Cotton and 17 grandchildren. One sister, Gloria Jean Pickens, seven brothers, Glennon Pickens and wife Nadine, Clifton Jackson and wife LaWanda, Arber Jean Murray and wife Sally, Donald Ray Stevenson, Lindsey Stevenson, Willie Stevenson, Gary Stevenson, and numerous other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
