Florence (Fowler) Burnett

Florence Mae (Fowler) Burnett, 97, Eldorado, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at the Eldorado First Baptist Church with Rev. Pete Wylie officiating. Interment will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Florence Mae Fowler was born on October 2, 1916 in Eldorado, Oklahoma to Henry and Ellen M. (Smith) Fowler. She grew up in Eldorado and graduated from Eldorado High School. Florence married Nelson Burnett on October 10, 1937 in Altus, Oklahoma. He passed away on August 10, 1993. She worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell and as a dietician before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and gardening. Her husband, a sister, Faye McPherson, and three brothers, Jake C., Charley W. and Jewell E. Fowler, preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Audean Tuell and husband, Jim, of Euless, TX and Linda Conaway of Edmond, OK; four grandchildren, Lynn Thompson Tuell, Bronlyn Kay Tuell, Kyle Conaway and wife, Susanna, and their children, Brynna and Ava, and Seth Conaway and wife, Susan, and their child, Elsa; and two sisters, Ruby Norris of Mangum, OK and Vennie Lea Walker of Altus, OK.
