Floyd E. Allen, Jr. 62, Altus, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Logan officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Floyd Ealie Allen, Jr. was born May 4, 1959 in Altus, Oklahoma to Floyd and Helen (Hatfield) Allen. He graduated with the Altus High School Class of 1977 and began his lifelong career as a concrete finishing contractor with his dad, his uncle and his cousins. Floyd could drive his kids around Altus and point out all the jobs he had worked on over the years because he was very proud of his work. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. But the one thing he really liked to do was to play “tickle monster” with his grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sabrina Von Wert; nephew, Mikey Von Wert; and a grandson, Luke Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; five daughters, Brandie Allen; Brittanie Allen and husband, Chris; Tresa Johnson and husband, Kevin; Tiffany Clark and husband, Greg; and Amanda LaRance; two adopted sons, Carlos Vincent and Silverio Gonzales; his sister, Regina Ross and husband, Warren; eleven grandchildren, Serenity, Money, Makenzie, Delaney, Peyton, Bubba, Brooklynn, Bentley, Dallas, Aniyah and Brady; and many friends, family members and customers.
The family will host a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
