Forrest Drury, 94, Olustee, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Debbie Kulbeth officiating. Burial will follow in the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Forrest was born May 16, 1920 to Levis Forrest and Opal (Whitehead) Drury, Sr. near Olustee, Oklahoma. He lived in the Olustee area his entire life. He attended and graduated from Olustee High School. Forrest and Lorayne Crawford were united in marriage on August 15, 1942 in Olustee, OK. He was a farmer and raised cattle all his life. He was a member of the Olustee Methodist Church, which later became the Olustee Community Church. Forrest served on the Jackson County Water Board and on the Harmon County Rural Electric Board for many years. He enjoyed square dancing for over fifty years. He was a member of the Olustee Riding Club, Lions Club, Woodmen of the World and was a current board member of the Community Action. He loved to travel, play "42" dominoes and tried to play cards every Friday night. He lived in Olustee all of his life and was very proud of that. Mr. Drury was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorayne; one daughter, Dorothy Jean Drury in 1975; one son, Wendell Drury in 1991; and two brothers, Coy Drury and Herman Drury. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Glenn and her husband, Joe, of Olustee, OK; two granddaughters, Tamara Glenn of Memphis, TN and Janetta Ray and husband, David, of Geronimo, OK; three great-grandsons, Christian Ray of Geronimo, OK, Michael Ray and wife, Brook, of Ft. Stewart, GA and Matthew Ray of Geronimo, OK; one sister-in-law, Nelda Johnson of Olustee, OK; special friends, Neg Brown, Jim Doner, Faye Moody, Helen Brown, the breakfast bunch at the Pit Stop and McDonalds; and numerous other family and friends. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Buster. The family will host a visitation for family and friends Monday, February 9, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Kincannon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Forrest Drury to the Olustee Community Church, 16432 State Highway 6, Olustee, OK 73560 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
