Franklin Dee Bailey, 78, Altus, died Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday evening, July 3, 2012 at the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ with Tom Bailey officiating. Cremation services and memorial services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Frank D. Bailey was born September 20, 1933 in Hammon, Oklahoma to E. C. and Mammie (Flint) Bailey. He graduated from Hammon High School in 1951 and continued working on the family farm. He then enjoyed a 31 year banking career in communities including Hooker, OK; Darrouzett, TX; Elk City, OK, and Hammon, OK. He sold prearranged funerals in Florida for about 15 years before moving to Altus in 2005. He married Janice Southern in Altus on May 26, 2008. He was a member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ. He loved to fish, travel, hunt and woodcrafting. He especially enjoyed being with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. His parents, two brothers, Preston and Edward, and two sisters, Thelma and Happy, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Janice, of the home; four sons, Frankie Bailey of West Palm Beach, FL; Terry Bailey of Amarillo, TX; Tom Bailey and wife, Cindy, of Altus, OK; Randy Bailey and wife, Donna, of Tuscola, TX; 13 grandchildren, Crystal Dee, Nicole, Becky, Thomas, Crystal Marie, Shawna, Cari, Zach, Cati, Josh, Amanda, Keely and Malorie; and 18 great grandchildren, Kehmar, Journey, Preston, Griffin, Noah, Axel, Matthew, Taylor, Austin, Cade, Chrisily, Jorin, Caden, Jaxon, Baylee, Ansleigh, Kaeley, and Braedyn. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elm and Hudson Carpenter’s Kitchen.
