Freda L. Knapp, 71, Altus, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at her home. A viewing and family visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the Kincannon Funeral Home Gathering Room. Cremation will follow the visitation and inurnment will take place at the Ft Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Freda Louise Knapp was born March 15, 1950 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Fred and Mildred (Smithers) Tanner. She graduated from Ardmore High School and married Richard Knapp on June 10, 1966 in Madill, Oklahoma. To this union two daughters were born, Felicia and Raquel. Freda was a stay-at-home wife and mother who tended to the needs of her family and enjoyed every minute. Being a military wife, she supported her husband in his assignments at (places where they were stationed). She was of the Christian faith; loved her pet dogs and cats; and cherished her time spent with her friends, family and grandchildren. In fact, most of her friends and their children called her “Grandma”.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry and Russell Tanner; and her sister, Sherry Tanner. She is survived by her two daughters, Felicia Corbray and husband, Sean; and Raquel Berlanga; seven grandchildren, Liam, Sofia and Ethan Corbray; Mathew, Marie, Marissa Berlanga and Marcus Flores; one great granddaughter, Sarah Ledesma and many friends.
