Gary Don Doughten, 61, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Grace Care Center in Wichita Falls, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Evangel Temple, 3800 Barnett Road, Wichita Falls, Texas with Kile Bateman officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at the Eldorado Cemetery, Eldorado, Oklahoma under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Gary Don Doughten was born May 30, 1951 to Gordon and Willie (Northam) Doughten in Quanah, Texas. He graduated from Altus High School in 1971. He worked Civil Service at the Altus Air Force Base Commissary until his retirement. Gary was a very loved and giving member of the Evangel Temple Church in Wichita Falls, TX. Gary was faithful to his church; loved kids and was known for spoiling his nieces and nephews and was called “Uncle Gary” to all who knew him. Gary is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wendell Doughten. He is lovingly survived by his sister-in-law, Lonna Doughten of Olustee, OK; two nieces, Wendy Doughten of Wichita Falls, TX; and Misty Reuter of Altus, OK; two great nephews, Mikail Reuter of Altus, OK; and Sean Hundley of Moscow, ID; three great nieces, MiKayla and Mikendell Reuter, both of Altus, OK; Amanda Hundley and husband D.J. Duff of Farmersville, TX; a special great great niece, Daelee Duff; countless adoptive nieces and nephews including Amy Reyna and Patsy Propest and the awesome caretakers of the Grace Care Center of Wichita Falls, Texas. The Doughten Family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6pm to 8 pm at Kincannon Funeral Home.
