Gary Ray Freeze, 54, Altus, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at his home. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Dean Goodfellow officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Gary Ray Freeze was born on August 1, 1968 in Anaheim, California to Ronnie Ray and Jerene (Johnson) Freeze. He grew up in Altus and graduated with the Class of 1986. He was a part of the Altus Swim Team and competed in the state tournament in diving. Gary was a carpenter and cabinet maker his whole life. As a kid, he would hang out with his dad in the shop, learning the trade. Those years spent fine tuning his craft and the guidance of his Pop, made him turn out to be one heckuva woodworker. He married Debbie Law on January 17, 2001 in Vernon, Texas. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed boating and fishing. His greatest treasures were time spent with family, especially the grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Justin Ray Freeze.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie, of the home; a son, Brandon Freeze and wife, Kassy; grandchildren, Bray Duke, Roper Sullivan, and Frankie Grace Freeze; his parents, Ron and Jerene Freeze; a sister, Kristy Gamez and husband, Danny; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gary’s name to the Southwest Baptist Assembly Camp, 14730 Hwy 44, Lone Wolf, Oklahoma 73655 or at swbcassembly.com.
