Gayle Conger, 78, Blair, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at her daughter's home in Altus. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Blair with Rev. Tyler McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Emma Gayle McMillin was born to Jack and WynNelle (Ward) McMillin on September 26, 1940 in Blair, Oklahoma. She graduated from Balmorhea, Texas High School in 1958. Gayle and Bob Conger were united in marriage on December 21, 1957 in Balmorhea, Texas and to this union two children were born. Gayle was a bank teller for Peoples State Bank for many years and her and Bob raised greyhounds for thirty years. Her favorite times were spent with kids, especially her grandchildren. She loved going to church and playing dominoes with her friends.
Gayle is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob, and a brother, Tommy McMillin and wife, Estelle. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Kay Meredith and Kurt Batt; son, Richard Alan Conger and wife, Patricia; four grandchildren, Johnelle Ditonno, Ryan Ditonno, Callan Galvez and husband, David, and Corie Meredith; and a brother, Bobby McMillin and wife, Judy; as well as a host of friends.
The Conger family will greet friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
