Clara "Gene" Jameson, 78, long time Headrick resident, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rich Ainslie officiating. Burial will follow services at the Headrick Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Gene Southward was born April 5, 1939 in Alex, Oklahoma and adopted by John Orville and Iula Jane (Fancher) Southward. She graduated with the Headrick High School class of 1957. Gene married Bobby Dale Jameson May 23, 1957 in Headrick, Oklahoma. Gene was a lifelong member of the Headrick First Baptist Church and was very active in the Jackson County 4-H Club. She loved watching OSU football and basketball and appreciated her country life. Gene was particularly fond of her two grandsons, John and Kyle, and also enjoyed the company of her pet dogs, Happy, Bisquit, Ringo and Sassy and her pet cat, Chelsea.
Gene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Dale; and her two nephews, Louis Westbrook and Jake Neilson. She is survived by two daughters, Kim Jameson Myers and Debra Jameson; two sons, Robert Jameson and wife, Cheryl; Steve Jameson and wife, Theresa; two grandsons, John Austin Myers and Kyle Jameson; three sisters, Patsy Bynum, June Westbrook and Donna Klingenburg and husband, Bobby; two brothers, Russell Arnold and Bobby Matthews; sister-in-law, Vicky Jameson; brother-in-law, Jimmy Jameson and wife, Carolyn; two nieces, Marlo Nielson and Lori Bynum; other family members, Alton and Gaye Harvey, Earl and Shirley Booker, Marlon and Dana Booker, Ronnie and Pam Booker and their daughters, Tiny and Tori Booker; and a host of other relatives and special friends.
The Jameson family will greet friends Monday evening from 6 to 7:30pm at Kincannon Funeral Home.
