George "Buddy" Roberson

George “Buddy” Roberson, 81, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Services and cremation have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home. George was born September 17, 1932, south of Altus to Roney Dewel and Velma Emily (Rollins) Roberson. He graduated from Southside High School in 1950. He joined the United States Navy and served his country during the Korean War. He spent four years as Active Duty and four years in the Reserves. He worked for several years as a delivery driver for Frito-Lay. Buddy was a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed shooting pool, country and western dancing, country music, and reading Louis L’Amour books. Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Johnny Ray MacAlexander.
