George Dean Gilliam, 78, Duke, passed away, Monday evening August 17, 2015 at Plantation Village Nursing Home. No services have been scheduled at this time. Cremation services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home.
George was born February 15, 1937 to George C. and Mattie L. Gilliam in Altus, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Duke, Oklahoma area, and attended and graduated from Duke High School. He served his country in the United States Army. George worked as a welder, farm hand and a security guard at American Gypsum, He was of the Pentecostal faith. George loved hunting; fishing: camping and his dog Jet.
George is preceded in death by his parents; and his best friend, Gail Ballou. He leaves behind his Godsons, Darrel, Danny and David Ballou; his adopted Ballou family and a host of friends.
