Georgia "Chick" Berry, 71, Blair, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Plantation Assisted Living Center in Altus, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Kincannon Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Georgia Anne Winegar was born October 7, 1947 in Ralls, Texas to Arlind and Bill (Spence) Winegar. Georgia's father, Arlind, named her "Chick" early on because she was afraid of chickens. Chick graduated from Crosbyton High School with the Class of 1966 and continued her education with 2 years of business college. She and Mike Berry were married August 11, 1968 in Crosbyton, Texas. Chick had worked as a book keeper at cotton gins most of her adult life. She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren, friends and family.
Chick was preceded in death by her parents, Arlind and Bill Winegar; her son, Dusty Berry and her brother, Robert Winegar. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mike Berry; her daughter, Summer Hall and husband, Dantz; four grandchildren, Cade and Chance Berry; Aspen and Celie Hall; her brother, Harvey Winegar and wife, Linda; and many friends.
