Gerald Dean Brewer

Gerald Dean Brewer, 71, Altus, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 8, 2013 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Mike Fairchild officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, Oklahoma under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Gerald Dean Brewer was born on March 16, 1942 to Dee Leonard and Eva Ola (Wright) Brewer in DeQueen, Arkansas. He was married to Judy Petlzer. Gerald and Rhonda Seay were united in marriage on March 14, 1998 in Altus, OK. He was a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for fourteen years. Gerald was a member of the Prairie Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed going to senior dances, traveling and working out in the yard. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents, son, David Lee Brewer, and a brother, Bert Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, of the home; a daughter, Geri Sargent and husband, David, of Oklahoma City, OK; three step-sons, Andy Welch and wife, Jacque, of Olustee, OK, David Welch and wife, JoAnna, of Blair, OK, and James Welch and wife, Nicole, of Altus, OK; a sister, Gladys Kirk of Lawton, OK; a brother, Earl Brewer and wife, Helen, of North Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Doris Brewer of Virginia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ted Brewer, Taylor, Damon, Jennifer, Hunter, Devon, Cadence, Jayden, Jordan, Nevaeh, Brody, Prissy, Leiland and Ledger, as well many other family and friends. The Brewer family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Kincannon Gathering Room. Memorials may be made in Gerald’s name to the Alzheimers Association, 2448 E. 81st St., Suite 3000, Tulsa, OK 74137.
