Gladys Inez Buckner slipped from this life, stepping into eternity with her loving Savior and husband, Ken, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21st, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Anthony Lester officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Gladys Inez Decker was born to Faye Patrick “FP” and Loretta Pearl (Sims) Decker in Sparks, Oklahoma on August 27, 1942. She married her lifetime love, Kendell Gene “Ken” Bucker on October 31, 1957, in Mangum, Oklahoma. They shared 63 beautiful years together at their home in Blair, Oklahoma before his passing in 2021. Gladys attended Aladdin Beauty College and had a host of clients throughout the years. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, spending time with family, and especially attending church. She was a faithful member of Trinity Holiness Church and loved the Blair community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; parents, FP and Loretta Pearl; granddaughter, Kendra Edwards; and sisters, June Lawrence, Deloris Allen, Juanita Hembree, and Larita Helton. Those left to honor the memory of Gladys are her children, Lonnie Bucker and wife, Freda, Tammy Buckner, and Sandi Buckner; grandchildren, Crystal Edwards, Brandon Edwards (Juliana), Rachel Johnson (Jason), Martae Buckner (Quamaine Williams), and Sara Ball (Todd); great grandchildren, Kaden and Kylie Johnson, Da’von Buckner, Isaiah Ball, Hannah Edwards, Jaxon Ybarra, and Jack Cody Edwards; siblings, James Decker, Sr., Pat Caylor, and Joyce Teran; and a host of other family, friends, and church family.
