Gloria Janie Nieto, 69, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Father Joseph David officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Gloria Jane (Ybarra) Nieto was born on April 7, 1953 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Antonio Steve “Tony” and Petra Guadalupe “Betty” (Sanchez) Ybarra. She attended Altus High School and graduated with the Class of 1972. In 1975 she married Jose Victor Nieto in Altus, Oklahoma and to this union three children were born. He predeceased her in 1981. Gloria graduated from Aladdin Beauty School in 1986. She and Candido Rubio Sanchez enjoyed a 40-year relationship as partners in life to which one child was born. She enjoyed playing bingo, Candy Crush, cooking, conversing with clients while cutting hair, watching her Novelas and above all else, family time!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Victor Nieto; parents, Tony and Betty Ybarra; brothers, Antonio Steve Ybarra, Jr., and Ricardo Ybarra; and sister-in-law, Mollie Ybarra.
Gloria is survived by her partner, Candido Rubio Sanchez; children, Stephenie Amanda Ochoa and husband, Rodrigo, Fabian Ernest Nieto and wife, Laurie Martinez Nieto, Steven Orlando Nieto, and Jason Tyler Nieto; grandchildren, Alexandra Janelle Guzman, Vanessa Ann Nieto, Marissa Ry’Ann Duran, Victor Dante Nieto, Nicholas Zachary Nieto, Yamil Alejandro Pinto-Nieto, Rodrigo Jose Ochoa, Carlos Antonio Ochoa, Karia Marie Ochoa, and Rodrigo Ochoa, Jr.; great grandchildren, Hazel Julianne Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez, Genesis Armiya Guzman, Elijah Josia Rodriguez, Laylah Serenity Duran, Trinity Selene Duran, and on the way, Journey Braelynn Guzman; brother, Bobby Ybarra; sisters-in-law, Jesusa Ybarra and Donna Hembree; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
