Gloria "Patty" Caudell

Gloria P. “Patty” Caudell, 83, Altus, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at English Village Manor. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Rock Cemetery, North of Duke, Oklahoma with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Patty was born on August 22, 1927 in Duke, Oklahoma to John William “Bill” and Volie Leah (Caudill) Heidenreich. She grew up in Duke and graduated from Duke High School. She married J.W. “Red” Caudell in Vernon, Texas on December 8, 1956. He passed away on July 2, 2003. Patty was a wife, mother, and a friend to the community. She loved her family dearly and was very active in the First Baptist Church in Duke. She babysat and took care of several of the children around Duke, Oklahoma and loved them like family. Patty never forgot any of the children that she took care of. She was very thoughtful in gift giving when it came to their birthdays and weddings. She loved children, reading, walking, socializing, and family time. Her husband, a son, Joseph Mark Caudell, a sister, Mona Bill Salaey, and a brother, Norwood Heidenreich, preceded her in death. Survivors include her sister, Sidney Bennett of Seguin, Texas; a granddaughter, Misty Brustad of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a great-granddaughter, Kiersten Brustad; and several nieces and nephews.
