Goldie Mae Bennett, 94, Altus, OK passed away Friday morning, April 13, 2012 at Plantation Village Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Ray Jolin officiating. Burial will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Goldie was born April 3, 1918 in Savanna, Oklahoma to Charles J. and Floice (Stockton ) Robertson. She married Robert Lee Bennett December 4, 1937 in Altus, OK. She worked most of her life in retail sales at C.R. Anthonys and Watkins. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness. Goldie loved cooking, canning, camping and fishing. She also enjoyed playing dominoes and family get-togethers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers, Tom, Leonard, Charles, Chester, Foy, and Fred; and two sisters, Agnes and Juanita. Mrs. Bennett is survived by three daughters, Norma Jean Stewart and husband , Dan, of Altus, OK; Sandra Bennett of Altus, OK; Jeanette Fischer of Kalamazoo, MI; one son, Jimmy Bennett of Altus, OK; ten grandchildren, Leslie Jean Hughes, and her partner, Jackie Keller, of Odenville, AL; Cindy Morgan and husband, Wayne, of Altus, OK; Annette Sullivan of Chelsea, MI; Rick Nordmeyer and wife, Shelly, of Erie, CO; Michele Villegas and husband, Joe, of Eldorado, OK; Michael Turner of Austin, TX; Tracy Bennett, Brandon Bennett, Brady Bennett and Jason Bennett, all of Texas; twelve great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation for family and friends one hour before the services on Wednesday at Kincannon Funeral Home.
