The heavenly gates opened on Friday, August 26, 2022 to welcome our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Guadalupe Coronado, 91, of Eldorado, Oklahoma. Guadalupe passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Wichita, Kansas. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, September 2, 2022 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Lorenzo Cardoso officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Guadalupe was born on January 2, 1931 in La Grulla, Texas to Jose and Gertrude (Villarreal) Granados. She was an extremely kind and loving person who had seen and experienced a great deal of our ever-changing world during her lifetime. She enjoyed singing and listening to classical Spanish songs. She enjoyed watching Cantinflas and La India Maria, where she laughed all through the movies. She was the humblest person that never desired for anything but only the best for her children. Guadalupe was well known for her sweet smile and the strong love she had for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clemente Coronado (2008); three sons, Louis Coronado (1959), Paul Coronado (1973), and Juan “Johnny” Coronado (2021); three brothers, Manuel Granados, Ramon Granados, and Ernesto Granados; and three sisters, Petra Granados Medrano, Elida Granados Mejia, and Maria Granados Luisa.
She is survived by six sons, Clemente Coronado Jr. of Duke, Refugio ”Ray/Kuko” Coronado and wife, Angela, of Altus, Joe Coronado of Altus, Jesse Coronado of Altus, Serapio “Penny” Coronado of Eldorado, and Louis Coronado and wife, Estela, of Altus; seven daughters, Esmeralda Coronado of Eldorado, Janie Merry of Lubbock, TX, Alice Cantu and husband, Robert, of Altus, Lupita Piña and husband, Pablo, of Dodson, TX, Nancy Orosco of Enid, Maryann Nguyen and husband, Tuyen, of Wichita, KS, and Lucy Manshack and husband, Leon, of Louisiana; 43 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Jesus Granados of Pensacola, FL, and Alfredo Granados of Eldorado; one sister, Amelia Lopez of San Francisco, CA; and a host of other family members and friends.
