Harold Dean Carter, 81, Eldorado, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Hollis, Oklahoma. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Odema Cemetery, east of Eldorado, under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Harold Dean Carter was born on October 9, 1935, outside of Detroit, Illinois to George and Stella Mae (Howell) Carter, Sr. He graduated high school in Milton, Illinois and married Lois Nadine David in Milton, Illinois on March 4, 1955. Harold served from 1955 - 1957 in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Corporal. Upon his discharge, he worked for a uniform rental company in Jacksonville, Illinois. The family moved to Eldorado and he worked at Republic Gypsum for a number of years before retiring. Harold was a member of the First Christian Church in Mangum and had a love for music.
His parents and two brothers, George Lee and William Mitchell Carter, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Lois, of the home; two daughters, Patricia White and husband, Charles "Randy," and Deborah Day; a son, David D. Carter and wife, Evelyn; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a great great grandson; a sister, Helen Johnson; and two brothers, Robert and Herschel Carter.
