Harold “Junior” Cargal, 79, Altus, Oklahoma passed away September 23, 2010 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Blair First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Harold Cargal was born November 19, 1930 to Gus Bryan and Gracie Idell (Smith) Cargal in Blair, Oklahoma. Harold married Nancy Hayes on July 7, 1951 in Altus, Oklahoma. He owned and operated the Blair Food Market for over forty years. He was a member of the Blair First Baptist Church, where he was a greeter and teacher of children’s Sunday school. He was also on the Personnel Committee. Harold raised greyhounds for many years and played every afternoon with his domino buddies in Blair. He was a retired volunteer firefighter for the Blair Fire Department. He was loved and adored by the community of Blair. His parents, s son, John, six brothers and two sisters preceded Mr. Cargal in death. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; a daughter Del Ann Easter and husband, Don, of Yukon, Oklahoma; a daughter-in-law, Jean Cargal, of Blair, Oklahoma; a sister, Sue Waggoner and husband, Milfred, of San Angelo, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Lois Cargal of Blair, Oklahoma, and Kyla James of Altus, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Maier and husband, Ben, of Northfield, VT, Merydith Lusk and husband, Clint, of Yukon, Oklahoma, Catie Easter of Yukon, Oklahoma, Joe Bob Cargal of Norman, Oklahoma, and Lani Sanders and husband, David, of Norman, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Jordan , Zach, Jaci and Joeli; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in Blair, Oklahoma.
