Harvilla Ellene Workman, 85, Blair, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in Snyder, Oklahoma after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Lyles officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Harvilla Ellene Tourney was born on July 27, 1931 in Quincy, Illinois to Harvey and Ella (Means) Tourney. She grew up in Illinois and California and attended Newport High School in Newport Beach, California. Harvilla married Charles Workman on June 16, 1946 in Yuma, Arizona. She worked as a homemaker all of her life and was a great wife and mother. She loved family gatherings, sewing and reading. Harvilla was also a member of the Warren Oklahoma Home Community Education program and was also president for three years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Linda Louise Workman, two sisters, Ruthie Doughtery and Dollie Griewe, and a brother, Francis Likes.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Charles, of the home; two daughters, Charlene Taylor and husband, Kevin, and Diana Malesic and husband, Robert; a son, Charles David Workman and wife, Rose, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, James Workman and wife, Helen.
