Hildegard Anna Hald, 79, passed away Thursday morning, June 25, 2015 at her home in Altus. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Father Wickersham officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Hildegard was born September 15, 1935 to Karl Albert and Rosa Maria (Whittmoser) Winkler in Frankfurt, Germany. She was a high school graduate. Hildegard and Edward Hald were united in marriage on October 30, 1976, on the Altus Air Force Base in Altus, Oklahoma. She was a waitress at Wackers Soda Fountain; sales clerk at McCrory's Otasco in the pet department; she worked at Kellwoods over twenty years the entire time they were open as a packer, shipper; st Altus Athletics and before retirement she worked at the NCO Club as a waitress. She was a member of the VFW Bingo. Hildegard was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, knitting, helping others and above all being a grandmother, whom the kids lovingly called Oma. Hildegard is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Edward. She is survived by her son, Mike Joseph Gras and wife Mary; five grandchildren, Crystal Gilley and husband Brent, Michael Gras, Jr., Mardi Gras, Cristina Collier and husband Scott; ten great-grandchildren, Allie, Riley, Dixie, Hallie, Stephanie, Kaley, Kendall, Amiaha, Justus, And Koral; she is also survived by one great-great grandson, Elijah; three brothers, Seppel Winkler, Albert Winkler, Wolfgong Winkler; and one sister Maria Pierce. Hildegard also leaves behind her special pet, "Daisy Mae." There will be a rosary held at 7:00 PM, Monday evening at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Additional parking for the service is available behind the funeral home, Best Western to the South or Western Sizzlin’ to the North.
