Imogene “Jean” Worrell, 91, Altus, died Monday, March 10, 2013 at English Village Manor in Altus. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2013 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Tom Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Jean was born on August 25, 1922 in Blair, Oklahoma to Hallen and Sybil (Stovall) McGuffin. She attended Friendship School and married Sylvester “Becky” Worrell April 5, 1941 in Altus, Oklahoma. She spent most of her time raising three sons and helping out on the family custom harvesting business. Jean did the books, drove grain trucks, drove combines, cooked for the harvest crew and kept everybody in line while on harvest. She was a member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. She also was a good cook and enjoyed her family and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Becky Worrell; two sons, Cary Lynn and Jimmy Paul “Butch” Worrell; a sister, Geraldine and a brother-in-law, Wayne White. She is survived by one son, John Worrell and wife, Shirley, of Martha, OK; sister, LaJune White of Altus, OK; three grandchildren, Debbie Jo Estes and husband, Kyle, of Acton, TX; Cody Worrell and wife, Jasset, of Sand Springs, OK; Jennifer Earls and husband, John, of Altus, OK; nine great grandchildren, Dylan and Drew Estes, Jackson and Emmitt Worrell, Haylee and Baylee Cross, Garrett, Ali and Lanee Earls. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
